To My Dear, Wonderful and Loyal Customers —

After 13 years at the Metro Denver Farmers Market at SW  Plaza, I am hanging up my apron.

I have made so many friends at the market — both human and 4-legged!  I always loved talking with my customers, their pup finding its way to my booth, or even jumping up on my table. I heard about how your furry friend found my biscuits hidden in your purse, and I loved your pups coming around to my side of the table to give me “the eye“… because they wanted more. Or a customer telling me that my Liverwurst Biscotti was like “crack” for dogs, as they bought 10 boxes to give out as Christmas presents. So many funny stories about your best friend were shared at my booth over the years.

One time, a police K9 trainer told me his shepherd would “…NEVER eat a dry biscuit.” Of course, his pup ate every single biscuit flavor that I gave him. The trainer was shocked, and of course, became a customer.

We debated ways and methods to make your pup behave and what to feed them when they had a tummy ache. I rejoiced with you when you got a new puppy, watched as you taught him new tricks, including finding his way to my booth. I cried when your first visit in the spring was to tell me you’d lost your best friend that winter. I heard stories of losing your furry friend and the last thing she ate was my biscuit.

And I looked forward to seeing all of you each Spring.

You can still purchase my biscuits for a few more months at Heros Pet Supply across the street from the Market.  Or order online.  But I know it is not the same.

Because I’m going to miss you, your friendship, and the joy your dogs brought to me and my booth every season.

Give them all a hug for me: Athena, Willow, Bailey, Belle, Peyton, Mr. McGoo, Ava, Hershey, Teddy, Chloe, Jovi, Princess Neesa, Sadie, Duke, and so many more.

With Love,
Karen
